About me...
I've been creating art since childhood, exploring nearly every medium imaginable before finding my home in oil painting. That journey took over 20 years and was entirely self-taught. For the past 7 years, pets have become my greatest subject and my deepest inspiration.
Some paintings start with a brush. Mine started with loss.
When Apollo, my wife's dog, passed away, I witnessed a grief I hadn't seen up close before. Words felt small. So I did what felt natural, I picked up a pencil and drew him from memory.
That drawing became an oil painting. That painting became a birthday gift. And the joy it brought her family told me everything I needed to know.
Since then, I've painted Apollo many times, each piece a little better than the last. Today I share my home with three dogs, all of whom have sat for their own portraits. And what started as a private act of love has become something I'm honored to offer the world.
Every pet holds a universe. My job is to make sure that universe never fades.
